Data Protection and the Health Research Regulations- Finding a Way Forward
May 16th, 2019
The Wood Quay Venue,
Dublin City Council Civic Offices, Dublin 8
In November 2018, the Irish Health Research Forum held an event on the theme of ‘GDPR and Health Research: Stakeholder Voices’. This over-subscribed meeting facilitated vigorous and useful discussion on a challenging topic. The outcomes were captured in this widely used meeting report which includes ten recommendations relating to data protection and health research in Ireland.
On May 16th we once again addressed this pressing topic. The event captured the perspectives of those most affected by the recent changes to legislation and assessed progress since the last event. We were joined by researchers, patient representatives, industry and state agency representatives, DPO’s and key decision-makers.
