A Governance Guide for Health Research Charities
Health research charities are important leaders in research which addresses the unmet health needs of patients and the public. For charities wishing to strengthen their approach to research governance, there are many things to take into account. This guide aims to make that easier, by leading you through the issues that you need to consider. While primarily targeted at health research charities, it may also be of use to others with a role in funding health research.
This guide covers four main themes: research strategies, research committees, peer review and conflicts of interest.
We would like to thank all HRCI members and directors, whose experience and wisdom guided us in developing this publication.
