Simone Walsh is Chair and Programme Manager of the Irish Research Nurse and Midwives Network. She is a Registered General Nurse, Certified Project Management Professional, and holds an MSc in Public Health. Before taking up her role with the IRNM, Simone worked as a research nurse at the Skin Wounds and Trauma Research Centre, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and later worked as the Center’s Senior Research Project Manager. Simone also worked as a Nurse Researcher on the National Drug-Related Deaths Index, a national epidemiological surveillance system, housed at the Health Research Board.
Simone has 17 years of experience in research project management, leading at a senior level. She specialises in research governance and medical technology clinical investigations.
